We are so excited about where God is leading us as a church. This past year was
filled with so much of God’s goodness. So many lives were changed, disciples
made and countless moments with God were shared as a community. And the
best is still yet to come!
Going into 2026, I felt strong on my heart to invite you, our church family, into
joining me and the leadership of FA church in 21 days of focused prayer and
fasting. We will be seeking God together for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit,
and for a greater level of breakthrough in the Spirit
Fasting is for the purpose of seeking God in a more intentional way. It’s
temporarily giving up something you need and love, for something you need and
love more: Jesus. It realigns your focus and sets you in a position to become more
aware of His presence.
Please consider what fasting might look like for you in these 21 days. Equal
participation is our goal, not everyone practicing the same. You will see below
three fasting resources that we developed in house, as well as one additional one
from CRU. As you will see in the following resources, there are different ways to
fast. We have done our best to show several of the most effective ways to
participate in these 21 days that allow all levels of experience to participate. With
your fast, I invite you to consider integrating the below Bible reading plan. It’s
powerful and fulfilling to pair fasting with feasting on the word of God.
With your fast, I invite you to consider integrating the below Bible reading plan. It's powerful and fulfilling to pair fasting with feasting on the word of God.
We will also be providing opportunities throughout these 21 days for you and
your family or community to serve with the forgotten, the poor, and the lowly.
Fasting moves our hearts towards God and others through showing mercy and
compassion. Stay updated with FA’s What’s Happening email newsletter for
those opportunities.
Bless you FA Church. 2026 is going to be a powerful year of mission and ministry.
Love in Christ,
Pastor Ben Johnson
