Kevin and Jody Munshaw have a very special story that comes full circle. They both grew up in homes that were steeped in ministry in the local church. Kevin as a pastors kid, and Jody as a lay pastors daughter. They both went to Bible School and then into full-time children and youth ministry. Jody pastored on Vancouver Island, ran a Christian camp in New Zealand and church planted in a community near Calgary, while Kevin pastored in both BC and Alberta. Then they found their way into the construction world for a time, and then into financial services where they finally met. They’ve been married for two years and enjoy the miracle of a blended family with four sons and two granddaughters. They have been attending FA for over a year and believe that God is calling them back into local church ministry. Their family interests range from playing sports, to serving in music ministry, to seeking out another adventure to experience. They love to entertain people in their home, have a heart for building leaders in the business world and see their crazy construction ideas come to life around their home.

LUIS & CANDACE GONZALEZ

Luis & Candace have been loyally by each other’s side in all things since 1995. Carrying a prophetic and apostolic calling, their collective ministry started in Manila, Philippines when they stepped up to pick up the pieces of a gravely damaged and injured church. They brought healing, deliverance, grace, and worship, and turned that into a ministry of deep discipleship, mentorship, and strong equipping of the saints to go and do the work, sending them out into other ministries. Since then, they have traveled many parts of the world, creating deep and lasting working relationships with many ministers, and have been based in Calgary with their daughter Freddie since November of 2010. They yearn deeply to see strong and true disciples formed, and to see the next generation reach full potential toward building Jesus’ Church.

SHELDON & VICKI PENNEY

Sheldon and Vicki have enjoyed serving at FA over the years as they raised their 2 children, who are now young adults. In this season, they want to create a safe and welcoming space for other young adults to grow in faith and community and into all that God has purposed for them.

Sheldon has been involved in the technology industry for 30+ years, most recently in leadership roles with a large telecommunications provider. He is presently serving on the board of directors for a not-for-profit assisting internally displaced persons in Nigeria, as well as locally on the FA Servant Council. Sheldon enjoys spending time outside hiking and biking and also working on various renovation projects as the opportunity arises.

Vicki has been a family physician for the past 30 years and has practiced in SW calgary for almost 25 years. She loves reading and running (just not at the same time) hiking, camping, travelling and living life on mission locally and globally.

THIAGO & BRUNA BITENCOURT

Thiago and Bruna have been married since 2015 and just had their first child. They moved from Brazil in 2023 and have been serving FA since then. In this season, they want to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for young adults to share their emotions and life challenges.

Thiago has been working as project manager for IT companies for the last 10 years and he's been involved with Worship teams since he was 11 years old. He is presently serving on Sundays and Mondays with Tehillah Worship. Thiago enjoys spending time hanging with friends for barbecues and coffees.

Bruna is passionate about people and has been working as Psychologist for almost 10 years. She loves travelling and cooking for friends and family.

VICTOR & EDLENE DANTAS

Victor and Edlene Dantas, a couple with a marriage spanning two decades, have created a life centered around faith, family, and service. Their journey began in college, where Edlene played a pivotal role in introducing Victor to the Christian faith, setting the foundation for their shared spiritual journey.

Victor, having embarked on a career in IT right after high school at the age of 17, has grown professionally over the years. Currently, he serves at FA across various ministries, including the Governing Council and active involvement in the Worship and Prayer teams. Edlene has taken on the role of a pastor, specifically leading FA's Family Ministries. This position involves guiding and supporting families within the community. It reflects the couple's shared passion for building strong family units grounded in the presence of God.

Together, Victor and Edlene are proud parents to three daughters—Anna Beatriz, Laura, and Lily-Rose. The love and commitment they share not only with each other but also within their family, exemplify the values they advocate for in their ministry. The combination of Victor's technical expertise and Edlene's pastoral role creates a dynamic partnership focused on both spiritual and practical aspects of life.
